On Tuesday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences reported that a magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck the Banda Sea in Indonesia. The earthquake's epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers. There have been no official reports of casualties or damage yet. Indonesian authorities have stated that there is no threat of a tsunami.
