Indonesia's National Disaster Management Agency said on Saturday that seven people had died and 82 others were missing after a landslide in West Java province amid reports of heavy rain in the area. A local official said the landslide hit a village in West Bandung district. Abdul Mahari, an agency spokesperson, told Reuters, "The number of missing is high, we will try to intensify search and rescue efforts today." Earlier, Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency had warned of adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain in West Java province for a week, according to local news outlet Compass.
