According to the data from the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers off the coast of Northern Sulawesi. Notably, two weeks ago, another earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale occurred near the shores of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi; however, there was no information about damage or casualties.
"The earthquake with a magnitude of 6 occurred in the region of Sulawesi in Indonesian territory, but no information about material damage or human losses was reported," noted the German Research Centre for Geosciences.
According to the data from the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the earthquake with a magnitude of 6 occurred in the area of Sulawesi on Indonesian territory. It is noted that the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 kilometers.
