Police in Indonesia reported that dozens were injured and taken to hospitals following an explosion at a mosque during Friday prayers within a school complex in the capital, Jakarta. Two television channels aired footage showing a line of police officers around the school with ambulances on standby. City Police Chief Acep Edi Suheri, speaking at a press conference broadcast on television, stated that police are investigating the cause of the explosion, which occurred in the Kelapa Gading area of North Jakarta. He added that the number of injured people taken to hospitals reached 54, noting that the injuries ranged from minor to severe and included burns. Photos of the mosque showed no significant damage.
